ARC was bought at by Hanson shortly after and 59 101 was later repainted into Hanson livery

In 2000, 59 002 “Alan J Day” was painted in the unique attractive green, light grey and orange Mendip Rail livery, the only 59 to carry this livery. 59 002 is a “standard” 59/0 in their modified form with NRN pods on the roof above the cab rears and with modified yaw dampers (all of which are correctly modelled on our model).
