We've previously shown livery samples for the forthcoming Farish Class 47/7, but thanks to Bachmann we had the opportunity to take a close up look at the three new models on display at the London Festival of Railway Modelling. Featuring updated tooling to represent the 'Crew cut' buffer beam modification that removed the original shrouding, the models are now at the livery sample stage and are planned for release during Q3/Q4 this year. Dapol has announced its third 'next generation' diesel locomotive for N gauge at the London Festival of Railway Modelling this weekend. The model promises an entirely re-designed chassis, electronics and a newly-tooled body. The manufacturer has said that models will also be sound capable. Nine liveries spanning the eras of the Class are promised in its first batch of models, with the locomotives expected to arrive with stockists in Q2, 2024. RRPs are expected to be £172.80 f

Rapido Trains UK have provided an update on their N Gauge Class 44 project. First announced in September 2022, Rapido stated their intention to produce the Class 44 first, followed by classed 45 and 46.
