Close-Up: Graham Farish N Gauge Class 20/3
Announced just before this years International N Gauge show, Bachmann Europe had livery samples of the new tool N Gauge Class 20/3 on display at the Graham Farish stand and N Gauge News was able to have a close-up look at this long awaited sub class of the popular 'Choppers'.

The first time this version of the Class 20 has ever been produced RTR in N Gauge, the model takes advantage of the updated chassis with pre-fitted with a speaker and provision for a Next 18 decoder.
Working lights are fitted to the cab end, but due to the position of the bonnet end WIPAC light clusters on the buffer beam, these are non-working. Whilst some may be disappointed by this the reality is the locos rarely worked individually, more often than not running as pairs with the cabs at the outer ends, meaning these lights wouldn't be illuminated anyway. The bonnet high intensity light positioned centre top is working however.
The models on display at TINGS were livery samples, and there have been some corrections identified such as the yellow panels being on the wrong ends of the equipment boxes.
