Seen at the 2025 International N Gauge show, Dapol have revealed the first livery samples for their forthcoming N Gauge GWR 63XX 2-6-0 Mogul, a model first announced one year ago at the same event.

These are the first livery samples received by Dapol, arriving just before the show, and as such were still to be inspected for any required changes and corrections, so the models shown in the images below are not fully representative of the production models in terms of colour, details or standard of finish. They are also not fitted with the electrical elements of the couplings. Even at this stage however, they are impressive looking models featuring a high level of detail.
The Mogul also now features the same firebox glow as the Manor. This will not be DCC controllable due to the number of wires required between loco and tender, but instead operates on a timer with approximately 10 seconds off, followed by 5 seconds of flicker to represent the fireman opening and closing the firebox doors.
A functioning, unpainted EP sample was running on the Dapol stand layout and exhibited smooth and powerful performance hauling up to 14 coaches, a load far greater than the prototypes would typically haul but proving the models haulage capabilities!

Three samples were on display, including 6336 in Great Western green, 6324 in BR Black with early emblem and 7310 in BR lined green with late crest.
2S-043-001 - 6336 Green 'Great Western'

2S-043-004 - 6324 BR Black Early Crest

2S-043-006 - 7310 Green Late Crest

Other liveries planned in addition to those shown here are:
2S-043-002 - 6385 Green Shirt Button
2S-043-003 - 7301 Green GWR
2S-043-005 - 6364 BR Green Early Crest
