At the 2024 International N Gauge show, Revolution Trains debuted livery samples for their N Gauge Class 175 Coradia and Class 180 Adelante diesel multiple units.
The Class 180 was displayed in the striking black and orange Grand Central livery whilst the Class 175 was shown in the colours of Arriva Trains Wales.
The models feature full interiors with switchable lighting, Next-18 DCC decoder interface and power couplers between cars so only one DCC decoder is needed to control the entire train. The models also incorporate representations of the prototypes brake discs and working representation of the Dellner coupler used by the prototype, to allow sets to operate in multiple.
Revolution is offering the Class 175 in 2-car and 3-car versions, in Arriva Trains Wales, Transport for Wales and First North Western liveries. Decorated samples of the latter two versions are expected shortly.
The Class 180 ‘Adelante’ unit is being offered as a full five-car train in the Grand Central livery shown, along with First ‘Barbie’ livery, Furst ‘Dynamic Lines’ colours and East Midlands Railway. As with the Class 175, these versions are expected shortly.
Once these models have been assessed and any changes made they will be ready for production, with delivery expected Q2 2025.
Once these models have been assessed and any changes made they will be ready for production, with delivery expected Q2 2025 however pre-orders can still be placed via Revolution Trains for all planned liveries.
Our thanks to Revolution Trains for allowing N Gauge News to photograph the samples on display at the International N Gauge Show.
