Rails of Sheffield, the exclusive retailer for Sonic Models, have released images of the forthcoming N Gauge GCR A5 4-6-2 tank locomotive, which now due for release later this year.

The livery samples are the same original Engineering Prototype 'test shot' versions which have been painted, hence the slightly incorrect fitting of parts. The chassis bowing/loose bunker detailing won't be present on the production models. There've been a number of improvements/amendments to the tool/design which aren't present on these samples - including the Chimney top 'cap' and Rear chassis block around the pony truck.

Noted amendments to the decoration will see a slight revision to the 'brightness' of the lining on the GCR example as well as better application around the rear bunker, and a revised BR crest on the BR black version.

Two samples have been produced, representing the attractive Great Central lined green livery and BR lined black versions.
