Dapol have announced they are to retool their N Gauge Class 56 locomotive. The new batch will feature a re-tooled body with shape improvements and more accurate variations. Two new variants have been announced and some previous models have changed running number.
The updated models will feature:
Highly detailed model with separately fitted parts including handrails, etched grilles, etched nameplates (where applicable), pipework and more
Digital Capability - 18-pin socket
5-pole Super Creep motor with twin flywheels, all-wheel drive & pickups
Heavy split-frame chassis
Directional head and tail lights
Retooled body with improvements to body shape, cab roofs and windows
Tooling variations for Romanian & Doncaster built examples
NEM Standard N gauge couplings
In total nine variations are now due for release between Q3 and Q4 2024.
