One year on from their announcement at Model Rail Scotland 2022, Revolution Trains have received the first test shots from the tooling for the N Gauge Class 180 'Adelante' and Class 175 'Coradia' DMUs
It should be highlighted that these are not engineering prototype samples, but the first test mouldings from the tooling which are intended for checking of the dimensions, and that the basic shapes are correct before any modifications and refinements are carried out ahead of EP samples being produced.
The Class 175 'Coradia' test shot sits on 'accommodation bogies' and will have the correct style in production.
Two and three car versions of the Class 175 are now available to pre-order in three liveries; First North Western 'Barbie', Arriva Trains Wales, and Transport for Wales.
The Class 180 'Adelante' test shots show Revolution have really captured the distinctive and striking looks of these high speed units, and also shows the interior moulding which will hide the low profile mechanism.
Four Class 180 liveries are now available to pre-order direct from Revolution Trains; First Great Western 'Barbie', First Hull Trains 'Dynamic Lines', Grand Central and East Midlands Railway.
Revolution are hopeful that EP samples of the full units will arrive in time for the London Festival of Railway modelling at Alexandra Palace later in March.

Our thanks to Revolution for allowing NGN to photograph the test shots.
