Dapol retooled N Gauge Class 56 decorated samples arrive

Dapol have received full decorated samples for their N Gauge Class 56, featuring a retooled body on the existing mechanism. The new tooling allows for accurate representation of the original Romanian and later UK-built locomotives and now features etched brass bodyside grilles.

7 liveries are planned for release, and Dapol state that design team have finished their reviews of the EP and the decorated samples and feedback has been provided to the factory for any potential improvements. They are currently waiting for a production slot to be made available, at this time Dapol expect to see these models in shops during Q1 2026.
